On June 4th, Sigma Builders and Legato Living announced the start of construction on their second Indiana-based residential assisted living facility, located in Westfield.

Sigma Builders is leading the design and building services to create a 16-bedroom senior residence for individuals living with Alzheimer’s and dementia. This Legato Living home, scheduled to open in late 2026, will be locally owned and will feature the organization’s hallmark family-style living environment where residents are treated with respect, understanding, and compassion.

Legato Living designs its homes to help memory care residents maintain the lifestyle they were accustomed to while sharing the amenities and comforts of a single-family residential home. The company acquires and remodels homes in South Carolina, Texas, Iowa, Nebraska, Arizona, and Indiana. Legato Living focuses on smaller facilities, recognizing that larger memory care facilities are often too large for some individuals as the disease progresses.

The organization chose the location of its new facility in Chatham Hills due to its accessibility and nearby amenities, combined with the charm and safety of the community, to allow residents and their families to easily spend quality time together inside and outside the home.

The boutique model ensures each resident has a five to one caregiver to resident ratio on average and can benefit from the group’s extensive wraparound services, including physical and cognitive care, respite and adult daycare, health care services, and hospice care.
