U.S. News & World Report recently released its highly anticipated list of the 250 Best Places to Live in the U.S. in 2025 – 2026 – and two Indiana suburbs topped the chart! The annual ranking evaluates metropolitan areas and smaller cities based on housing value, desirability, job market strength and quality of life. The expanded list analyzed 859 cities and highlighted the top 250 nationwide. Ranking #2 on the list, Carmel, Indiana provides a sense of community unlike any other and is a perfect location for families with young kids. U.S. News & World Report notes that “there are about 106,425 people living in Carmel. Of that population, 26% are under age 20, 11% are 25-34 years old, 14% are 35-44 and 28% are 45-65.
