Dave Berman is a graduate of Indiana State University, where he studied Construction Management and Architecture. He then attended Indiana University’s Master Program in Urban and Regional Planning. Dave has over 32 years of experience in the home building industry and has held numerous President, VP, and Director positions throughout his career. Dave’s leadership has been responsible for building over $750M in revenue across his current and previous positions. Dave has been recognized by Builder Magazine and The Soderquist Group for his leadership and numerous successes. In 2021, Dave was inducted into the Marquis’s Who’s Who in America and in 2022 was selected to join their Legacy Designation.

Dave has a passion for Architecture and Design and throughout his career has led numerous architectural teams and home building teams in both the private and public sectors. In addition to his passion for Architecture and relentless pursuit to perfect the homebuilding and commercial building experience, Dave prides himself on developing strong relationships with our employees, our customers, our developers, the community and our trade partners. Most recently, Dave and the team at Sigma have dedicated themselves to the light commercial sector of construction. More specifically, and for example, the development and building of MemoryCare Facilities throughout the area and nationally to help those struggling with Alzheimer’s.

Additionally, in 2023 Dave started Sigma Abstract, a non-for profit company, that focuses on the Arts and Nature. One of the main focuses in our charter is developing land responsibly with the focus of preserving land

Outside of work, Dave enjoys spending time with his Wife (Celeste) his 4 Children (Tehya,Tommy, Cici and Lexi) and his Father (Henry). He also enjoys the outdoors through boating, overlanding and camping with his family traveling coast to coast, taking his family on “Epic Adventures”

Meet Kimberly Bowers, one of Sigma’s Founding Partners! With a deep passion for crafting homes where people can create lasting memories, Kimberly plays a crucial role in ensuring Sigma Builders delivers exceptional results.

The inaugural winner of the Women Built It Woman of the Year Award in 2024, Kimberly is passionate about setting new industry standards and elevating women in the business.

In her eight years with Sigma Builders, Kimberly has been a key contributor to the company’s expansion, including the addition of remodeling services to their portfolio. Her efforts have significantly impacted the company’s growth and success in the greater Indianapolis area.

Outside of work, Kimberly stays active with paddleboarding and enjoys listening to fast-paced country music. She is also dedicated to mentoring the next generation, believing strongly in their potential to shape the future.

With over 30 years of experience in the construction and remodeling industry, Jay Arvin brings a wealth of knowledge and trusted leadership to Sigma Builders. His background spans a wide range of disciplines, including warranty and finish work, project supervision, front-end construction, procurement with national corporate entities and home builders, operations, and residential and commercial remodeling.

Joining the Sigma team marks an exciting new chapter in Jay’s career.

He is thrilled to be part of a custom homebuilding environment with no limits, and especially energized by the opportunity to help grow Sigma’s renovation and remodeling services – transforming homes from old to new with care and craftsmanship. His approach to client interaction is built around collaboration, always working to bring their visions to life through practical, real-world solutions.

As a proud husband to Shannon and father to four children-Jaydan, Savannah, Dakota and Gabriel-family is at the core of everything he does. His loyal black lab, Juno, is never far from his side. In his free time, he enjoys the outdoors through camping, hiking, and working on personal home projects.

Lisa Masuoka serves in an integral Sales and Marketing role at Sigma Builders, where she’s been part of the team since

2017. Over the years, her role has evolved to reflect her strengths and passion for people and helping them build their dream homes. Prior to joining Sigma, she spent 22 years as a social worker in both mental health and medical hospital settings, most recently at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.

After relocating to Indiana and taking time off to focus on her two sons, an opportunity at Sigma sparked her next professional chapter, starting with office support and social media, and growing into a role more suited for her strengths. She loves working at Sigma for its forward-thinking leadership, strong company vision, and the

chance to connect with clients in a personal and purposeful way, helping them design and build homes that serve as the backdrop for lifelong memories. Lisa also enjoys working alongside her Sigma counterparts, who bring their individual beliefs, dedications and passion to the table every day.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, gardening, quilting, watching and attending Colts games as a season ticketholder, and spending time with her family. She and her family are passionate advocates for pet adoption and share their home with two beloved rescue dogs, including recently adopted Jojo, a sweet and gentle pitbull who completely changed their perspective on the breed.

Lisa is hopeful her story will inspire others to adopt a dog – and consider a pitbull as their next family member!

Patrick plays a key role in keeping each Sigma home moving forward from start to finish. His day-to-day work includes walking jobsites, coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing plans, and updating schedules to ensure every project continues progressing as planned.

He also works closely with homeowners, answering questions and helping them feel informed and confident throughout the building process.

Before joining Sigma, Patrick gained experience working on residential production homes and luxury townhomes, as well as serving as a project engineer on healthcare commercial projects across Indiana. Outside of work, he enjoys staying active and spending time outdoors, whether that’s walking or biking around Carmel or exploring the Monon Trail. When visiting family on the East Coast, he enjoys hiking and spending time with friends.

Kristen has been with Sigma Builders for over 6 years, where her role includes coordinating the team, helping with warranties, managing vendor relationships, and streamlining internal operations to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. Kristen’s favorite thing about working at Sigma is the people, noting, “We genuinely care about the work we do and the homes we build, but more importantly, we care about each other. There’s something really special about being part of a team

that combines high standards with humor, collaboration, and heart.” In addition to her tactical skills, Kristen brings a mix of organization, creativity, and problem-solving to the table, often wearing a lot of hats — team cheerleader, reality-checker, schedule wrangler, and resident problem-solver. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her 8-year-old son, always on the hunt for their next little adventure! She also enjoys spending time with their dogs – Petey and Meatball.

Kristen is a proud Boilermaker who runs on humor and Diet Coke!

With over 24 years of experience in residential construction, Spencer brings deep expertise and a sharp eye for detail to his role as Director of Costing at Sigma Builders. A graduate of Indiana State University, he spent 19 years as an estimator before joining Sigma more than five years ago.

At Sigma, Spencer oversees costing and financial analysis while also supporting design decisions – helping clients balance their vision with smart, thoughtful budgeting. He’s known for turning ideas into clear visuals and accurate pricing that keep projects moving forward with confidence.

Spencer values Sigma’s family-like culture, flexibility, and non-corporate environment, and believes what truly sets Sigma apart is the team’s commitment to fully custom homes tailored to each client’s lifestyle.

Outside of work, Spencer enjoys golfing when the weather allows and staying active at the gym.

For the past seven years, Kirstin Lenhart has been a part of the Sigma Builders team as a Senior Design and Draftsperson, a role in which she transforms contracts into detailed construction sets – bringing clients’ visions to life, one plan at a time.

Working closely with Sigma’s amazing customer liaison and clients, Kirstin ensures every selection and change is thoughtfully incorporated into the final construction documents. Whether it’s a custom home, a commercial space, or a remodel, Kristin loves collaborating with Sigma’s talented team to create designs that are both functional and inspiring.

With over 30 years in the field, she’s seen the industry evolve, and she’s especially passionate about 3D modeling. It’s more than just a tool; it’s an art form. Presenting a project in 3D helps clients truly visualize their future space, and watching a family see their dream home come to life fills her heart with joy. Knowing that their home will be the backdrop for countless happy memories is what makes this work so meaningful for Kirstin.

Outside of work, she cherishes time with her adult sons. “We’re a bit like the Three Stooges when we’re together! I raised two comedians!” Kirstin also loves hiking with her sweet dog Rocky and diving into creative crafts.

For more than five years, David May, Home Design & Sales, AlA Associate, has worked in a dual capacity across sales and design at Sigma Builders. David serves clients by walking them through the sales process, setting clear expectations, and ensuring a smooth start to their homebuilding journey.

When it comes to designing custom luxury homes, David has a knack for bringing clients’ visions to life. He takes room layouts and inspirational images and transforms them into home plans and 3D renderings that show, with a high degree of detail, how their future home will look, as well as how it will be positioned to maximize the property and surrounding views.

What drives David the most is the honor of being trusted with something as monumental as building a family’s dream home.

Beyond his creativity for design, it’s the satisfaction of guiding clients through such an emotional and financial milestone to ensure the final product is not only a reflection of their vision but also fits their budget and unique lifestyle.

David takes pride in Sigma’s unique approach: offering custom designs, transparent cost-plus pricing, and advanced 3D technology upfront, all without obligation. Jennifer is an Accounts Payable Specialist at Sigma Builders where she ensures accurate and timely financial transactions to support the Home Building Team. Jennifer excels at streamlining invoicing processes and maintaining positive vendor relationships. Prior to joining the Home Building industry, Jennifer specialized in cost recovery for utility meters, a role that developed her expertise in complex vendor analysis and invoice verification to ensure vendor payments are handled accurately and on time.

She is thrilled to be part of the Sigma Family because you are always working as a Team and you are always learning something new and exciting to be a part of.

Outside of work, Jennifer loves spending time with her family going on adventures and making memories. She loves the outdoor life Camping, boating, fishing and hiking.

With more than 30 years of sales experience, Janet brings a strong background in relationship-building, customer service, and business development to her role as Sales and Marketing Assistant at Sigma Builders. She earned her degree in Business Management and Marketing from Indiana State University and has built a successful career with companies including Kodak, American Greetings, and The Hershey Company.

Known for her passion for people and connecting with others, Janet enjoys creating positive experiences and supporting meaningful relationships both personally and professionally. Outside of work, she loves spending time with family and friends, cheering on the Pacers and Colts, traveling, spending time outdoors, and staying active.
